The Bishop Stang Difference

A Community Built for Growth

Bishop Stang is a Catholic college preparatory community where every student is known, challenged, supported, and prepared to move forward with purpose.

Our students grow through rigorous academics, meaningful faith formation, service, athletics, the arts, and relationships that make Spartan Village feel like home. Here, young people discover their gifts, strengthen their character, and learn how to use their talents in service to others.

Our Mission

Making Known the Goodness of God

Bishop Stang High School is a Catholic, college-preparatory school called to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ by “making known the goodness of God.” We holistically educate a diverse student body in a respectful, nurturing and disciplined environment. Our school family inspires young people to excel in learning and life through growth in faith, integrity, knowledge and service.

What Guides Us

Faith. Integrity. Knowledge. Service.

These values shape how our community learns, leads, supports one another, and responds to the needs of the world.

Faith

We help students deepen their relationship with God and recognize the goodness present in every person.

Integrity

We encourage students to act with honesty, courage, responsibility, and respect in every part of life.

Knowledge

We challenge students to think deeply, pursue excellence, and grow into confident lifelong learners.

Service

We form compassionate leaders who place their gifts at the service of their communities and the wider world.

Our History

Rooted in Tradition. Focused on the Future.

Bishop Stang opened its doors in 1959 as the first coeducational Catholic secondary school in the Diocese of Fall River.

For more than six decades, the school has remained committed to strong moral and principled formation while helping young people pursue their dreams and ambitions. Our North Dartmouth campus brings together students from communities across southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island in a welcoming, family centered environment.

Today, Bishop Stang honors that foundation while investing in the people, programs, and spaces that will prepare future generations of Spartans to lead with purpose.
