Bishop Stang Theater Company Presents The Great Gatsby

The Bishop Stang High School Theatre Company is proud to present Gary Peterson’s play adaptation of The Great Gatsby this fall! From inspiring our students in their English classrooms for decades, The Great Gatsby takes a new physical form on the Bishop Stang stage to inspire audiences with a new lens using theatre magic. Our students in the cast and crew have worked so incredibly hard to bring this timeless story to life in such a short period of time. Their passion, dedication, and creativity is so admirable.

Jack Nylin exquisitely embodies the charismatic and mysterious millionaire, Jay Gatsby, alongside Saphira Botelho, who perfectly portrays his long-lost love, the enchanting Daisy Buchanan. Together, Nylin and Botelho impeccably capture F. Scott Fitzgerald’s authentic dynamics of the infamous characters, Gatsby and Daisy, and the tragic “American Dream” dealism of their relationship. Elijah Gamiotea wonderfully narrates our story as the introspective Nick Carraway, who serves as a moral center and honest lens for the audience to observe the social corruption that is the world of the Roaring 1920s. The production is complete with an extremely talented body of students serving as supporting characters, featured ensemble, and backstage technical crew.

Mark your calendars for Friday, November 14th and Saturday, November 15th, starting at 7 pm, to witness the incredibly creative artistry of the students of Bishop Stang High School. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for students, children, and senior citizens. Get your tickets online https://payit.nelnet.net/form/TXp7uggU or at the door.
