A senior who hails from Shanghai, China, Daqi is the Vice President of the Student Ambassador Committee, the Treasurer of the Student Council, an AP Scholar with Distinction, the Captain of the Mock Trial Team & a Varsity Cross Country and Track athlete. She is also actively involved in the National Honor Society & Debate, Math and Robotics Teams. Recently, she received high distinction in the senior division of the Australian Mathematics Competition.
As the founder of the Origami Club, Daqi is excited to share the amazing art of folding with the community and beyond. The club is planning to host a Christmas-themed fundraiser in December. Her future intentions are to pursue a career in International Affairs, where she aspires to work for the United Nations assisting economic programs in developing countries. She is applying to Harvard and the University of Pennsylvania, among other top institutions across the country.
As she reflects back on her high school career in the States, Daqi commented: "Bishop Stang has truly become my second home on this side of the globe. The endless opportunities for leadership and the dedication of the faculty members set Stang apart, preparing me as I take on the next step of my academic journey."
