Dr. Bill Butler

Santiago HirschmannDr. Bill Butler teaches Biology, Chemistry and Anatomy & Physiology within the Science department.  He is a proud spartan alumni from the Class of 1984 who studied at Boston College and attended medical school at Tufts University.  Dr. Butler previously taught at St. Mary's Elementary school in New Bedford and has been at Bishop Stang for 13 years.  He also proudly serves on the NHS Faculty Council for Bishop Stang.

It means a great deal to Dr. Butler to teach at his alma mater: "I understand the value of a Bishop Stang education.  It is an honor for me to provide that same opportunity for my students.  It is also a delight to collaborate with such a talented group of science teachers every day!"

Many alumni credit Dr. Butler as their inspiration for choosing majors and careers in the sciences.  His AP Biology students, for instance, achieve great success on the AP exam each year.  Dr. Butler also assists the athletic department with game management throughout the year.  Dr. Butler enjoys spending time hiking with his two Labmaraners, Charlie and Grayson, in his free time.
