All Physics Classes will be held in the multi-purpose room in the library.

Media Club - if you are interested in assisting with the pep rally please report to the gym during Flex.  Any questions please see Mr. Greene.

SADD - mandatory meeting on Monday, October 22, after school.  Please see Ms. Paiva in room 309 if you cannot attend the meeting.

Fellowship Meeting in the gym today during Flex period.   All guys are welcome.

Mrs. Vieira will be out of the building on Monday, October 22 during Flex.

Astronomy Clubmeeting will be Monday, October 22, in the gym during Flex period.

Golf Team Senior - There will be a brief meeting during break time today in room 209.  Only for Seniors.

Homecoming Information :   Tickets will be sold in the Biology Lab at the end of the day starting today, October 15th.  Tickets are $15 each.  This includes water and snacks.

Ticket sale schedule:  Monday - Seniors and outside guests,  Tuesday - Juniors, Senior and outside guests only, Wednesday - Sophomre, junior and seniors and outside guests only, Thursday - all students and outside guests for seniors only, Friday -all students and outside guests if tickets are not sold out.

You must have an ID to purchase tickets and to attend the dance.  Pick up your outside date from and return it to Mrs. Williamson no later than October 19th.  Tickets are NOT available at the door.   Phones can only be used at the photo station in the back of the gym.

This year's homecoming court is:  Jen Chen, Maya Dube, Sam Furtado, Lauren Mauretti, Camdyn Roy, Patrick Clark, Alex Corey, Michael Mello, Jack Sefrino, Tom Sheerin.

Spartan Spirit Week - starts Monday and dress down collections will begin in homeroom this morning.  Be sure to bring $5 with you to homeroom this week, so you can participate in Spirit Week.  Here are the themes:   America Monday, Tropical Tuesday, Holiday Wednesday, Character Day Thursday, Spartan Spirit Friday.

Volleyball Team's Dig Pink Night was a great success, thank you to everyone for your generosity, we were able to raise $500 for Breast Cancer research, and we won the match!  Thank you again.

Friday, October 19, 1st period quiet study will be held in the Cafeteria.

Mrs. Seseske's Honors Sophomore English Class period 1 class should report to room 308 today and rest for the rest of the week and bring volume 2 of the textbook with you to class 

NHS members are asked to be prompt to the flex meeting today in the café. We will begin collecting dues. Members are asked to bring in $20 cash or check made out to Bishop Stang High School. Dues will be collected during the month of October. Dues must be paid before Nov. 1st.  

NHS Members are asked to check the classroom page to learn about a service opportunity on Sunday.  If you are able to attend please see Mrs. McDougal in room 202 during Flex today.

Attention Seniors - interested in the annual Stang mountain climb in New Hamsphire?  Mr. Copps and Ms. Connors and possibly Mr. Morris, are leading a trip up the Marlboro trail of Mount Monadnock on Saturday, October 27.   If you are interested and available, please see Mr. Copps beginning Wednesday to sign up.  Space is very limited.   Initial priority will go to seniors.  Juniors can sign up next Wednesday if space is available.  There will be an informational meeting today, in Mr. Copps' room to discuss, plan and list equipment for next week's trip to New Hampshire.

Water bottles and agendas are available.    They are $5 each.

Campus Ministry -   Morning Mass will be Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 7:15.   Morning Prayer will be Monday and Wednesday at 7:10.  Please sign up.



Thursday Contests

Girls Soccer beat Coyle & Cassidy 3-0. Sophomore, Taylor Read, has the shutout.  Lily Shields scored twice and Rylie Carreau added a goal and an assist. Morgan Riedel and Olivia Fowler also had assists. Katie Alberto, Catherine Yeargin and Abby Fernandes led the defense.

Boys Soccer beat Coyle and Cassidy 3-1. Morgan Dennis, Keenan Cooney, and Evan Peek scored goals in the victory.

Volleyball beat Saint John Paul II 3-0. Grace Botelho had sixs kills, one dig and one ace; Kaitlyn Hotte had 26 assists, Michelle King had 11 kills, Julia Michaels had 14 digs, and Francesca Pucillo had six digs, and three aces. The Spartans are now 9-9 on the season.

Freshman Football beat Bishop Feehan 22-6. Congratulations on a great Team Win.


Weekend Contests

The Football Team plays Bishop Feehan at home tonight at 7:00 pm

Boys Soccer plays at Fairhaven at 10:00 am on Saturday

Girls Soccer hosts Dartmouth at 11:00 am on Saturday



Students will attend class during 4th period today, and are responsible for all classwork, tests & quizzes during 4th period. We will make an announcement 15 minutes prior to the end of fourth period that members of the Pep Band, Cheerleading Team, and the four emcees be dismissed at that point in order to get ready for the Rally. If any one of those students is still taking a test or quiz at that point, then the student stays in class to finish the test or the quiz.

Come recognize the efforts of the 71 Senior students who are Fall Sports Athletes at the Senior Recognition Walk prior to the football game tonight. Families should gather with Senior Student-Athletes at 6:15 pm at the goalposts near the scoreboard, and the walk will be at 6:30 pm.
