At Bishop Stang High School, our mission is to educate the whole person. While the education you receive in the classroom is of the utmost importance to us, of equal value are the lessons you learn after you have closed your textbooks for the day. Whether it is on the athletic field or the stage, making opening arguments in Forensics and Debate or making closing arguments in Mock Trial, at Bishop Stang you’ll learn the value of involvement.

Art & Photography Club
Students develop advanced art and photography techniques while they develop personal portfolios.
Prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management skills.
Assist in spiritual aspects of our school and many service projects. Everyone is welcome, you don’t need to be Catholic to join! Plan and run events such as Mass, Retreats, neighborhood caroling and movie nights. Souls Sistahs (girls only) or The Fellowship (boys only) meetings allow an opportunity to discuss faith in a relaxing and supportive environment.
Varsity Athletic Captains meet regularly with the M.I.A.A. (Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association) to be trained as student ambassadors and serve as liaisons to their teams and help run some school events.
Students work on real-life coding projects like apps, websites and games!
A new club for 2018, a talented group of dancers will choreograph and perform at various functions throughout the year.
For those who love the outdoors, enjoy hiking and outdoor adventure trips. Periodic adventures, such as climbing Mount Monadock, are taken by students and teachers.
Forensics & Debate Team
Develop your communication and public speaking skills as you write and present arguments for or against a certain topic. Our highly ranked team competes against other area high schools.
Play improvisation games, develop improv skills and perform at some school functions.
“Ethos” Literary Magazine
Any student can contribute artwork, poems or short stories to our professionally published school literary magazine, Ethos. Club members will edit work and layout magazine.
Students who love tackling challenging math problems compete against other area schools.
Media Production Club
Students write, film and produce a variety of events throughout the year.
Mock Trial Team
Explore all aspects of how a real case comes together, meet with professional lawyers and visit courtrooms. The team works together to develop a mock case and then competes against other area schools.
Students lead efforts to celebrate diversity and explore the beauty and flavor of the cultures that surround the Bishop Stang community.
National Honor Society
This academic and service club has stringent standards to gain acceptance. Our NHS has been nationally recognized for their service projects
Report on stories about campus life. Members must attend events and submit stories by deadlines.
Open Mic Nights & Committee
Help organize or participate in our Open Mic Performances.
A new club for 2018, students learn simple and advanced origami techniques.
Upperclassmen serve as mentors to new students and assist in their transition into Bishop Stang high School.
For those who enjoy reading, writing and discussing all types of poetry. Members may write & share personal pieces as well.
Discuss and help raise awareness of many current pro-life issues facing society. The committee only participates in peaceful, non-confrontational activities.
Combine science and technology to design and build a robot for challenging competitions against other schools. Students will work with professional engineers and gain practical experience in construction, computer programming and problem solving.
Students against Destructive Decisions. Help raise awareness about the challenges facing teenagers today.
A talented group of singers who perform at many school events, often acapella (without musical accompaniment).
Spartan Science Squad
Students who love science learn how to present scientific concepts and run experiments for local school groups.
Outgoing and friendly students, who love attending BSHS, give tours and present all that Bishop Stang has to offer to prospective students and their families.
Student leaders explore governance topic. Our nationally recognized, award-winning student council affects great changes in our school, most recently by altering our dress code policy.
Students perform is a dramatic production in the fall and a musical production in the spring. There are roles and opportunities to get involved in performing onstage or creating sets and working backstage.
Students participated in the WGBH High School Quiz Show competition. Students gather for “trivia nights” at Stang to get ready for the competition.
