Inspiring Excellence in Learning and Life is the mission of BSHS. Phoebe Laplante Martin '10 excelled at what seems like everything during her years at Stang and has moved forward in life with the same phenomenal dedication and success. Phoebe stood out as a student and athlete - starring in roles on the lacrosse, basketball and soccer teams. Playing varsity lacrosse for the Spartins (Laplante) Martin averaged nearly 100 goals per season over her three-year varsity career and her 113 goals in 2010 not only led the Maritime Conference but was the most scored by a player in Massachusetts and ranked her third in the country. Phoebe went on to play lacrosse for Quinnipiac and, after graduating magna cum laude, aimed her talents toward med school from which she graduated cum laude. She and her husband, also a physician, now work at the Arkansas Children's Hospital where she can fulfill a dedication to both medicine and community service.
