Meet our School Counselors & be sure to stop by our office!

Mrs. Nicole Dias

Director of School Counseling

  • Grade 9: A-E
  • Grade 10: A-D
  • Grade 11: D-L
  • Grade 12: D-L

I am in my 9th year in the School Counseling Department and I just completed my fifth year as Director of School Counseling.  Before working at Bishop Stang, I graduated from Stonehill College with a B.A. in Psychology and then received my Masters in School Counseling at Boston College. I absolutely love getting to work with students on a one-on-one basis.  For fun I love to sing, play volleyball, volunteer, and play with my dog, Dakota.  I am the co-coordinator of the F.I.A.T. program and the faculty advisor for the yearbook.  I am here to help you succeed at Bishop Stang and with your academic, personal/social, and career development.  My door is always open, and I look forward to working with you!

Mr. Daniel Dias

Dan Dias, Counselor

  • Grade 9: F-M
  • Grade 10: E-O
  • Grade 11: B, M-R
  • Grade 12: M-S

This is my sixth year at Bishop Stang High School, and I am grateful for the opportunity to work with such wonderful students, families, and colleagues.  I am a 2009 graduate of Bates College (Lewiston, ME) with a B.A. in Sociology.  I received my Master’s Degree in school counseling from Springfield College in 2013.  I value the tight-knit, family-like atmosphere that Bishop Stang provides, and believe that such a warm and caring environment goes a long way in supporting student learning.  I believe my job as a school counselor is to help students reach their full potential, by supporting them in their academic pursuits, developing career and college readiness, and overcoming any social emotional obstacles that can sometimes present themselves during the teenage years.  For fun I enjoy reading, rooting for New England sports teams, spending time with family and my dogs (Buddy, Casey, and Dakota), and serving as the public address announcer for the Wareham Gatemen of the Cape Cod Baseball League.  I also teach Study Skills, and am an assistant coach on the varsity football and lacrosse teams.

Mrs. Nancy Wood

Administrative Assistant of School Counseling Department

‚ÄčI am entering my 18th year as a member of the Bishop Stang Community. During those years, it has been my pleasure to take part in the lives of our students in my role as Administrative Assistant of the School Counseling Department. The students bring such energy and life to our department and I can truly say that I look forward to working with these bright young minds every day. I am a graduate of Kinyon-Campbell Business School, mother of two adult children, and grandmother to a beautiful granddaughter!

This is my sixth year as a School Counselor at Bishop Stang High School. I graduated Emmanuel College with a B.A. in Psychology and achieved my Masters in School Counseling from the University of Massachusetts Boston. I am excited to work closely with the guidance department and faculty to make sure each and every student has the tools and resources to achieve academic success. In addition to my role as a guidance counselor, I am the International Student Coordinator for our International Program. Most importantly, I am here to support both students and staff so that everyone may have a positive learning environment. Please come and visit!
