About Us

President/Principal's Welcome

Welcome to our website and the 2019-20 school year!

The theme for the 2019-20 school year is "Diverse Gifts, One Spirit."  Based on 1 Corinthians 12 written by St. Paul, our school community is being called to appreciate our diversity and unity as God's indispensable gifts.  Each and every member of our school community brings something unique to our family.  We believe that each of us is wonderfully made by God with a purpose and mission, that each of us is made uniquely and diversely, and that God loves us for who we are.  We also believe that it is by respecting that diversity that we will be inspired to a greater unity as a community.  The implementation of our Learning Differences Program, professional development for faculty and staff and all-school assemblies on neuro-diversity and cultural competence, the new freshman anti-racism curriculum, and the continued fine work of our Diversity Council are all concrete steps we will take to make our theme a reality.

Our constant goal is to inspire our young people to excel in learning and life through dynamic, personalized education that rigorously prepares them for the academic demands of college and the moral challenges of life. Our Catholic mission is woven into every aspect of the student experience.  Faculty and staff are dedicated to helping students encounter Jesus Christ in a caring, safe and family-oriented environment.

Bishop Stang students come from throughout the Southcoast of Massachusetts and Rhode Island to experience a rich tradition of academic and co-curricular excellence, growth in character and service. Stang graduates move on to the finest colleges and universities in New England and the country.

Our Stang alumni are an amazing group of people who make a profound difference in the world. If you are an alumnus, please visit our Facebook page to re-connect with classmates and learn about their personal milestones.

Thank you for visiting and please feel free to contact us with your questions or feedback.
